These assets back claims to carbon sequestration (e.g. biochar, DAC, soil carbon) verified with robust MRV.

Example

Open Forest Protocol issues onchain Open Forest Carbon Credits (OCCs) backed by the carbon data produced by the project, which can be monitored on the Open Forest Atlas. For example, one of the project backing OCCs is Padvariai: a 4 ha in size afforestation project that saved all of local natural habitat of birds and other species. In total the project planted around 11000 saplings in this land plot.
